alg_vanished_annie-leThe latest reports of the Annie Le murder case is that the 24 year old graduate in Pharmacology from Yale University, was strangled before being stuffed into the wall. Raymond Clark, who was detained by the police, was released after his DNA samples were collected.

A spokesman from the medical examiner’s office at Connecticut reported, “traumatic asphyxia due to neck compression” was the cause of death. Though two search warrants were released on Clark he was not arrested. The police searched one particular unnamed property of Clark and also his car. The police said, “We have no authority to detain him in any way at this time.” Clark remains under police surveillance round the clock.

Annie Le was last seen on September 8th when she was entering the lab located on 10 Amistad Street. Her body was discovered, from a wall in the basement of a medical laboratory which is some way off the Yale campus, on Sunday. Sunday was supposed to be the day on which she was to get married to Columbia University graduate, Jonathan Widawsky, at Long Island, New york.

The police refused to comment about any kind of relationship between Clark and Le. As of now it is only known that both of them passed each other in the basement. Though the police has gathered almost 250 evidences, not one of them could pin down Clark or any other person as the suspect. Clark is a lab technician working in the same building as that of Le.

James Lewis, the chief of New Haven police, says, “It is important to note that this is not about urban crime, university crime, domestic crime but an issue of workplace violence, which is becoming a growing concern around the country.”
