Rome, Mar 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The shortest man of the world, named He Pingping, has died in Rome. He was just 2 feet and 5 inches. Originally born in China, he passed away in the Capital of Italy when he was preparing for a TV show. He was only 22 years old at the time of his demise. He developed chest pains and was taken to a hospital thereafter, where he breathed his last. He was born in the Inner Mongolia region of China in the year 1988. He was diagnosed with a type of primordial dwarfism. It was in 2008 that he was recognized as the world’s shortest man and made his entry into the Guinness Book of World Records.

He was said to be quite popular with the girls despite his short height. He was liked by all alike for his jolly nature and smile. He reportedly used to smoke a lot. The successor to He Pingping is yet to be finalized as Guinness world Records has announced. The TV program where he was supposed to take part was named ‘The Record Show’. A lot of people who knew him personally are shocked at his untimely death. Europroduzione, the TV production entity that saw him performing for 2 episodes expressed grief over his death.

Europroduzione communications director, Marco Fernandez de Araoz said that the man gradually fell ill while the shooting was on. Despite being shifted to ICU, he could not be revived. His family has requested to send back his body to China where the funeral will be performed. For them, it is an unexpected loss.
