Mar 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Zelmyra Fisher and her husband Herbert Fisher may look like any other aged couple apparently but they have made a foray into the Guinness Book of World Records. What is it that distinguishes them from other elderly couples? Well, they hold the record of being the longest married pair in the world. Incredible as it may sound, the husband is 104 years old while the wife is just two years junior to him. Both of them have lasted for more than a century yet the love continues to be as strong between them as it was when they started the journey together. They celebrated the Valentine’s Day this year by tweeting.

This year the elderly couple tweeted their advice to lovelorn people from their home. It was a rare opportunity for some people who wanted to share their feelings on love with the couple who have been married for more than 84 years. As one can expect, many people asked them the secret of their long life and enduring feeling for each other. The couple have more than 4,400 followers on Twitter. The couple got married way back in 1924.

Like every married couple they have their occasional differences. For instance, when Herbert Fisher wants to watch baseball on TV her wife leaves as she is not too fond of it. Otherwise they enjoy doing nearly everything together, as they have said. They have a total of 5 kids, 10 grandchildren along with 9 great-grandchildren. They believe in the almighty and attending church rituals form an integral part of their life.
