World’s largest 230-foot enchilada made in Mexico City

Mexico City, Oct 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mexico City created a big buzz when they created the world’s largest enchilada. According to reports, the inhabitants of Iztapalapa were responsible for the record. They managed to cook up a massive 230-foot long enchilada on Sunday. The huge enchilada also weighed an astonishing one and a half tons.

Guinness officials were also present at the event and they certified that the 70 meter long enchilada was indeed the world’s largest. Guinness official Ralph Hannah was present at the event and he certified the massive enchilada as a new Guinness record.

The record shattering enchilada was cooked from corn tortillas, white onions, serrano chili’s, green tomatoes, avocado, cheese, cream and a sea of salsas along with many other ingredients as well.

The residents of Mexico City are overjoyed with the new record. “With this Guinness record we are showing the world that Iztapalapa is a high-level tourist destination,” according to Mexico City tourism secretary Alejandro Rojas.
