Workers encounter ghost sightings while building ride ‘Storm Surge’
February 7th, 2011 - 10:20 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattSurrey, Feb 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Workers working on an amusement park in Surrey believe that they have some “invisible” companions at the site that they are working.
The Thorpe Park is one of the biggest amusement parks in Britain. The officials wanted to build another ride at the park but it seems the authorities chose the wrong site. The site was the venue of an ancient cemetery.
Among the many sightings that the workers reported are those of a headless monk. They claim that they often feel that somebody was watching over their shoulder as well.
The divisional director of the park, Mike Vallis said “it became apparent that something strange was going on when teams started clearing Storm Surge’s initial site. Staff reports of eerie goings-on shot up and the only physical change in the park, at that time, was the beginning of ground preparation work for the new ride.”
Ghostbusters have been called in and they are investigating the paranormal claims by the workers. The new ride has also been moved from that place to another location.
After the investigation, the paranormal investigators confirmed that the “results were so strong” in favor of paranormal activities. The only explanation according to the investigators is that an ancient grave have been disturbed.
The new ride being built is called Storm Surge. The ride is 64ft-tall and will now be built at another location of the park.
