Buenos Aires, Jan 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) An Argentinean woman has been taken to the intensive care unit after a suicide mission.

The 33-year-old woman in a bid to kill herself jumped from the 23rd floor of a hotel in the capital, Buenos Aires. The woman’s suicide bid however failed when she fell on a taxi.

The taxi driver dashed her to safety just moments before the woman landed on the car. The taxi’s roof caved in and the windshield was shattered as a result of the impact.

The taxi driver later told reporters what happened. Miguel, as the driver is called, told a local news media that, “I got out of the car a second before. If I had not got out, I would have been killed… I was only 10 metres from the impact. It made a terrible noise”.

There were several witnesses at the scene. BBC reports moments before the woman jumped, she was seen climbing over the safety barrier at the 23rd floor of the Hotel Crown Plaza Panamericano.

The woman remains in critical hospital at a Buenos Aires hospital. The woman was not identified nor was her intention of suicide revealed.
