Jan 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A woman who refused to be named, was so obsessed with the perfect color coordination of her living room, that she returned Harvey, the Jack Russel, within 48 hours, after she brought her from Jasmil Kennels and Cattery in Lower Halstow in Sittingbourne. The reason that she gave was the most weird and that once again proved, how dogs are treated more like a material for home decor, than a living being.

Barry Shuttleworth, the owner of the kennel was extremely “Horrified” with the woman’s gesture, whose age was something in the late 40s. He said that before taking Harvey away, she visited him atleast seven times. She said that Harvey was the perfect dog for her and she apparently started adoring him ever since she saw him for the first time. However, right on the day she took him home, she called up Barry Shuttleworth and said that there was something wrong in his body color, which clashed with that of the curtains of her living room. She also said that she had spent a lot on her curtains and would not like to change them. The owner of the kennel asked her to change the dog’s room and keep him somewhere else. However, within 48 hours she brought him back with the same reason, as she did not want to have the white and ginger hued dog any more in her house.

The three year old dog was therefore returned back to the kennel owner. However this is not the first time, that someone returned a dog after taking him home. Barry Shuttleworth said that at times the customers do not know why they are at all taking a dog. In one instance, a person took a dog and returned it back as he was “no cuddly enough”, while another customer returned a Labrador as it did not bark.
