Woman killed in train accident in Oregon
February 27th, 2010 - 3:10 pm ICT by BNO NewsBEAVERTON, OREGON (BNO NEWS) – A young woman was struck and killed by a train in Beaverton, Oregon on Friday morning, the Beaverton Police Department announced.
An unidentified woman was walking on the sidewalk and approached the train tracks. Then, she stepped in front of the Tri-Met Max train and was struck. Witnessed called the police but she was declared dead at the spot.
The tragic accident occurred on SW Baseline near SW 175th Avenue. There were no indications it was a suicide attempt just an unfortunate accident.
Willow Creek platform and Elmonica Station were closed temporarily due to the ongoing investigation.
