Gatwick, Nov 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Some things cannot just be left missing. 67 years old Cllr Spiers gave up on looking for her antique diamond ring, which had gone missing two years earlier. However she suddenly wanted it back and launched a massive search for it.

Spiers flushed her antique diamond ring down the toilet two years ago. Frantically, she hired a waste disposal firm to help locate the ring but after several attempts that included the use of cameras and metal detectors to locate the ring failed, Spiers gave up any hope of finding the ring.

However two years later, the same waste firm that she hired accidentally bumped onto the ring. The ring was found at a sewage work and returned to her who was more than glad to have the ring back on he fingers. The gold ring has a certified diamond and other smaller diamonds on it.

The found ring was relatively in good shape with the exception of two smaller diamonds that were missing. When it was found, the owners of the sewage company, Colin and Julie French revealed that when Spiers was reunited with her ring, she was as ecstatic as she was emotional. The ring was given to Spiers by her late husband.
