Woman convicted Over Bomb Necklace pizza

Erie, Nov 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In one of the most bizarre robberies in the Unite States, a metal bomb collar was placed around the neck of a pizza delivery man. The 2003 incident resulted in the death of the pizza delivery man, 46-year-old Brian Wells.

Seven years later, the master minder of the robbery has been convicted. 61-year-old Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong of Erie, Pennsylvania has been found guilty of masterminding the bizarre incident in 2003. The jury returned its verdict after 12 hours deliberation on Friday which was also continued this week.

The robbery which took place at a PNC bank in August in 2003 was foiled by the police shortly after Wells managed to escape with $8,702 from the bank. However when the police detected that Wells was wearing a bomb necklace, they called in the bomb squad. Before the bomb squad could reach the scene, the device went off and killed Wells instantly.

The police charged three other men along with Marjorie with the robbery. Marjorie has killed one of the men and another has died from cancer. The last man however testified against Marjorie during the trial. For his cooperation with the authorities, Kenneth Barnes was given 45 years behind bars for his involvement in the incident.

Marjorie will be sentenced on February 28 next year and she faces at least life in prison.
