Jan 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The woman who had alleged that the magician David Copperfield had raped her has been arrested. However, Lacey L. Carroll has not been arrested in connection to the case she had brought against the magician, but on the charges of prostitution as well as providing false information to the police, and falsely accusing another man of sexual molestation. Surprisingly, she had maintained almost the same storyline that she had resorted to when she had charged David Copperfield. The police had not investigated into the case when she had accused the magician of rape back in 2007.

According to the documents provided by the police, Lucy L. Carroll had alleged that a man she had met in Bellevue in Washington had sexually molested her. She had apparently met up with the man and another woman in a bowling alley in Bellevue. The detective who investigated into the case was initially taken in by the story provided by Lacey L. Carroll, who said that the man had attempted to rape her, and also that she does not recall anything after leaving the bowling alley. She claimed that she had woken up to find herself in the hotel room, with the man on top of her.

Later on, however, the truth came into light on an inspection of the surveillance cameras in the hotel where they had stopped for the night. The footage showed that Lacey L. Carroll and the man behaved like lovers in the room, and also that she had gone up to the room of her own accord. Moreover, the other woman notified the police that Lacey L. Carroll had left the room after the man refused to pay her the amount she asked for.
