too_close_for_comfort_1741084132A supposed fire break out in the region of Northern California on Wednesday night, near the town of Bonny Doon, led to a prompt evacuation operation to be brought about. The fast spreading massive wildfire occurring on the slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains was judged to be almost out of control.

A fire official said that the mandatory evacuation procedure led to almost 250 residents of the town of Bonny Doon to be moved out of town on early Thursday morning, to counter the rising emergency.
The ferocious and scorching wave of the wildfire is said to have almost charred about 1,000 acres of open land in less than 3 hours; and it showed no way of slowing down in anyway, as it continued on its onward slaughter journey.

The local media in the region reported that the high leaping flames could be seen from as far way as Mt.Tamalpais in the Marin County, which is situated almost 100 miles away.

Jim Crawford, the Cal Fire Battalion Chief, said that at about 10:15 p.m local time, an estimated 300 firefighters were out n the wild, trying to bring the zealous fire under control. More aid, in the form of firefighters, were coming in from as far away as Santa Barbara.

The reason that triggered the fire is not known yet. Reports seem to indicate that the fire seems to have started at about 7 p.m. on Wednesday (10 p.m. ET). Crawford said, “Right now, details are sketchy.”

No immediate injured related to the fire have been reported as of now. Almost 500 people in the region are said to be likely affected by the ensuing evacuation order.
