West Haven, CT man sentenced for role in cocaine conspiracy

BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT (BNO NEWS) – A man of Ellyn Court, West Haven was sentenced to three years of probation for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, prosecutors announced on Wednesday.

Gerald Montanari, 52, pleaded guilty to the charge on October 2, 2009. He was involved in the purchase and distribution of between 50 and 100 grams of cocaine between February and March 2009.

This case stems from an investigation conducted by the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force known as “Operation Brass Deal”. Such investigation has seized more than $75,000 in cash, over a kilogram of cocaine, and 750 grams of crack cocaine in New Haven County.
