West Chester, PA man sentenced for mail and wire fraud
March 20th, 2010 - 12:15 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA (BNO NEWS) – A man of West Chester, Pennsylvania was sentenced to 51 months in prison for one count of mail fraud and one count of wire fraud, prosecutors announced on Friday.
Peter Edward Aleszczyk, aka “Peter Alex”, 44, owned and operated KP Consulting, an employment consulting and recruiting company, in Exton, Pennsylvania. He admitted to soliciting a New Jersey company to enter a business relationship with KP Consulting. His company will place eligible candidates in temporary positions in the pharmaceutical industry.
The New Jersey-based company paid Aleszczyk $560,629 to fund the payroll of the temporary employees. The fraud scheme involved over 30 transactions and emails Aleszczyk sent falsely reporting that the temporary employees were working when they weren’t.
Aleszczyk was ordered to pay $560,629 in restitution and a fine of $2,500. He will also serve three years of supervised release and was prohibited from working as a headhunter ever again. Aleszczyk has seven prior convictions.
