New York, Dec 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Werewolf names seem to be gaining popularity among expectant parents. Parents are increasingly naming their babies after famous werewolf characters.

It is believe that the trend has been influenced by books, TV programs and other movies that feature such characters. Names like Jacob, Alcide and Tyler which are commonly used for some of the werewolf characters in the movies are currently being used regularly by parents for their children.

That is what the new pop culture in the United States is taking the country. Other names like, Paul, Quil, Sam, Embry and Jared which are all famously used in the Twilight series are all gaining popularity in the United States.

The names are being taken from several movies and books but those that have most names taken from them include the Twilight series, the HBO series True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and other several books and movie characters.

The trend seems not to be going down anytime soon. If anything, it appears that more parents are getting used to the idea of giving their children the names of werewolves. It is not however clear how the craze for these names has gone up so much because they have been around for a long time.
