Virginia Schools Declare Closing For Flood

Virginia, Nov.13, (THAINDIAN NEWS)Hurricane Ida, which earlier hit different parts of Central America, approached United States and hit different regions of the Atlantic Coast causing much damage to Virginia. Severe weather conditions made Governor Tim Kaine declare a state of emergency. People in Virginia faced severe difficulties due to the adverse weather conditions and several schools in Virginia declared closure for the weather conditions. Most of the schools located in the southern part of Virginia had to be declared closed due to water logging on the roads. Heavy rain that followed the storm flooded different parts of the state and disrupted everyday life of the place.
According to the sources, the strong winds that were blowing scattered debris in different places making it difficult for people to avail the roads. It has been stated by sources that the stores and hotels, which were located close to the beach areas were affected by the storm. People who were on the roads had to face difficulties in reaching their destinations. Sources reported that the adverse weather conditions caused death of three motorists in eastern and central Virginia.
It has been indicated by the officials of National Weather Service that the weather condition of the state is not expected to improve before Friday and people who were in the badly affected areas were asked to remain in home till the conditions become stable. Schools of these regions are not expected to re-open before Monday as the stagnant water from the floods has blocked most of the roads and conditions can become worse with every high tide.
