Virginia Naked Trial: Man convicted of indecent exposure
December 21st, 2009 - 12:16 am ICT by Aishwarya Bhatt ( 3 comments )Virginia, Dec 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In the Virginia Naked Trial, Erick Williamson was convicted of indecent exposure. The twenty-nine year old was naked at his home when a mother and her 7-year-old son walked by. Both of them saw that he was naked, through the doorway and a curtain-less window.
The twenty-nine year old Erick said that it was his right to be naked at home, and it had been violated. But the judge in the court, didn’t quite agree to his point of view and said that Erick Williamson intended the mother and her little son, to see him naked. So the judge convicted him of indecent exposure in the Virginia Naked trial. In the conviction, Erick received a suspended jail sentence, but was not fined at all.
However Erick doesn’t quite agree with the conviction and he intends to appeal the case based on the fact that he believes a person has the right to be naked in his or her own home, despite the embarrassing ruling by the judge.
Williamson’s lawyer argued that, “nudity in one’s home is not a crime. Under the circumstances of this case, a person who is careless, who should have drawn the blinds and didn’t, that is not criminal behavior. If you’re in a private place and take your clothes off, you have not committed a crime,” reports theage.com.au.

What has this world come to? All over the world there are nude runs and hikes and fests in Florida and New Orleans, etc, etc. Unless this guy is a convicted sex offender hoping to be seen, he has the right to be naked in his own home. What is wrong with nudity anyway? Come On!
