Video: Lions Attack Tamer at Ukraine Circus, Caught on Tape by Tourist
October 5th, 2010 - 10:10 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonOct 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The video embedded below shows footage which was shot of a tourist who was at the circus in the Ukraine. As Doug Shepard and his family were watching the show, taping the occasion, suddenly the lions who were a part of the act lunged for their trainer, mauling him in front of the screaming crowd.
At one point the animals bite down on the man’s arm. The tamer, Oleksie Pinko was taken to a nearby hospital to undergo emergency surgery and is not reported to be i stable condition,, according to ‘CBS”.
At one point, one of the animals seemed to be trying to get out from the stage and jump into the crowd. They almost broke through the safety net, according to Shepard. “I was just grabbing my daughter and trying to run because I thought that they were going to come out,”stated Masha Shepard, Doug’s wife.
