Various restaurants offer freebies for Veterans Day

Washington, Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As Americans observe Veterans’ Day on Friday, several restaurants and businesses have announced special freebies to active and retired military personnel. The freebies are being offered by institutions all over the United States and in most cases they are for only servicemen and veterans.

To prove that one is a serviceman, the companies who are giving away the freebies demand an ID. Some major companies offering the promo to servicemen and vets are Macy’s, Subway, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants and Spaghetti Warehouse.

Macy’s says vets and active servicemen can access special discount of between 10 and 15 percent when they use the promotional code VET15. The promotion is available until the 13th of November. Civilians can also access the promotion during the period.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the special date 11/11/11, veterans and military men who enters Texas Roadhouse will be given free meal. The lunch will have to be consumed at the restaurant. Denny’s Restaurant is also offering a similar service although the offer is limited to certain shops of the food chain. Servicemen and veterans will be given Grand Slam breakfast when they get to the selected restaurants.

Veterans can call the shops ahead of time to determine if they are offering a freebie or not.
