murderVirginia, May 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The atmosphere inside the University of Virginia held a very somber look today after news spread that a 22 year old UVA Lacrosse player was found dead inside her room. The player has been identified as Yeardley Love and it has been alleged by the police that she was murdered by UVA player, George Huguely. Virginia police have reported that the dead body was first spotted by one of Yeardley Love’s roommates, who summoned the police immediately.

George Huguely has already been arrested on charges of the murder of the victim. Police officials have still not disclosed any possible reason behind Yeardley Love’s death. The case is still under investigation and police have yet to determine whether George Huguely was really the man behind the murder or not. However the death and the subsequent arrest have come as a huge blow to the students of the University of Virginia, who were in a joyful mood celebrating the victory of the UVA Lacrosse men’s team.

Yeardley Love was a final year student in the University and resided in an apartment outside the University campus, where she was found dead. She was one of the best athletes in the UVA Lacrosse women’s team. Police were initially of the idea that it was a case of alcohol poisoning. However on close examination, the injuries to her body were apparent. The chief suspect in this case, George Huguely, was earlier indirectly involved in the famous Duke University sex scandal back in 2006 when he spoke out about the accusations made by the police at that time. Allegedly, he was involved with the victim in a relationship at some point of time.
