University of Georgia UGA Takes Penn State’s ‘Top Party School’ Title
August 3rd, 2010 - 11:32 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonAug 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Penn State has been stripped of their title as ‘Top Party School’ and replaced by a school in a small southern town, which has over one hundred bars near it’s campus-The University of Georgia, known to students, faculty and most state residents as “UGA”. Penn State was still in the top ten, however.
None of the colleges from Arizona made the top twenty list this time, and California only had one school mentioned, University of California, Santa Barbara made it into eighth place. University of Missouri made number seventeen and Michigan State came in at the very last, with number twenty.
A University of Georgia spokesman, Tom Jackson was not too thrilled with the results, and stated, “UGA has been on the party school list for a while, but it’s one we prefer not to lead.” UGA is often known for it’s mascot, a white English Bulldog, named “UGA” (ugga)
