Brasilia, Feb 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Inhabitants of a disconnected tribe in the Amazon rainforest have been captured on camera by BBC.

The pictures were taken during the filming of the program, Human Planet. The program will air on Thursday on BBC 1.

Unexpectedly, the inhabitants were found to be healthy with a thriving way of life. As the plane passed overhead, the Indians looked at it curiously as the images were taken. The pictures were taken on the Brazilian-Peruvian border of the Amazon.

The Brazilian authorities are currently monitoring the Indians closely to find ways in preserving their tradition. Deforestation is believed to be the biggest challenge in preserving the way of life of the Indian tribes in the rainforest most of whom are not aware of civilization.

The picture shows the tribesmen in spears as they gaze up to the aircraft. What appears to be pan and knives were also seen in the village of the tribesmen. It is believed that the men may have acquired the tools from inter-tribal trading.

The villagers had stock of papayas, vegetables and fishes. It is believed that they predominantly live on these foods. Their village was surrounded by banana plants with its leaves used to cover most of the games that were kept in the village.
