UN Special Representative condemns Kabul suicide attack
May 18th, 2010 - 7:47 pm ICT by BNO NewsKABUL (BNO NEWS) — The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Afghanistan, Staffan de Mistura, condemned on Tuesday the attack in Kabul which reportedly killed tens of Afghan civilians.
A number of international troops also were killed and several dozen other Afghan civilians were injured.
“This senseless violence and killing of innocent civilians and those working together with Afghans in bringing stability to this country should be brought to an end,” De Mistura said in a statement.
The Special Representative offered his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
