Two Women Arrested For ‘Kindergarten Brawl’

Kindergarten August 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Two women have been charged with misdemeanor for an alleged ‘kindergarten brawl’. The fight started during a kindergarten graduation ceremony in South Carolina.

The investigators who are trying to trace the brawl have reported that the women had been arguing which ended up in a full fledged physical fight.

The graduation ceremony at Puesta del Sol Elementary in Victorville was affected by the brawl as well. The fight soon became a free for all with several men jumping in and matters got out of control. The school authorities were forced to lock the school and it remained so until the law enforcement authorities arrived. There have been no reports of anyone getting hurt in the ruckus.

Marina Ruth Vargas, 29 and Queiona Burt, 31 now face misdemeanor charges for misconduct. They may have to serve upto 6 months of jail time for disrupting the peace at the school grounds say the prosecutors. An additional 90 days will be imposed on them for committing unlawful activities within the school premises. They will have to appear before the court on August 25.

Apart from the arrests almost 200 people have been identified by the authorities as well. The assistant superintendent, Maureen Mills accountable for the Educational Services for the Victor Elementary School District said to the press that the school staff had handled the matter quite competently. Mills is also reported to have said that there may be more arrests made in connection with the incident.

The entire episode started when an argument ensued about a comment on the Facebook. The comment was about the Lakers of Los Angeles.
