Two western soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL (BNO NEWS) — Two western soldiers were killed on Thursday in southern Afghanistan, according to NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).

One died in an IED strike and another as as a result of a vehicle accident, according to an ISAF statement.

The alliance did not disclose the soldiers’ nationalities or give other details. Most of the western soldiers stationed in southern Afghanistan are from the United States and the United Kingdom.

More than 100 soldiers have died in Afghanistan in 2010, according to a BNO News‘ tally.
