Two suspected Islamic State of Iraq weapons facilitators were arrested
March 16th, 2010 - 1:30 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )TIKRIT, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) – Two suspected Islamic State of Iraq weapons facilitators were detained by Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), with U.S. advisors, U.S. Forces said Monday.
The two suspects were detained in the village of Sharqat, Salah ad-Din province, who allegedly manufactured and distributed improvised explosive devices (IED) and weapons in that province.
The two suspects are believed responsible for transporting IEDs and weapons into Mosul from a shop in Sharqat and a location in Bayji, which is located north of Bayji.
In accordance with the Security Agreement and in coordination with the Iraqi government, Iraqi and U.S. forces conducted joint operations to target terrorists seeking to disrupt the security and stability of Iraq.
