WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA (BNO NEWS) – Two North Carolina residents were sentenced on Friday for their roles in the distribution of drugs, prosecutors announced.

Jonathan Jordan, 27, of Franklin, was sentenced to 295 months (over 24 years) in prison while Stephon Bullock, 39, of Henderson, received 221 months’ imprisonment (more than 18 years). Both men will also serve a five-year term of supervised release.

Jordan and Bullock had been selling drugs since 2005. On December 30, 2007, a domestic violence call was responded by police officers in Henderson. Upon arrival, they found seven people, including Jordan, and crack cocaine, scales and baking soda in several plain view locations. After a search warrant, half a kilo of crack was seized.

Further investigation revealed that Bullock sold Jordan the cocaine that he was cooking into crack. Law agents arranged a controlled purchase with Bullock. The first sell was for two pounds of marijuana, and an hour later, 28 grams of crack. Moment before the arrest, Bullock tried to hide crack in a vacuum at a car wash. Police officers found 210 grams of crack from his vehicle.
