Two New Yorkers arrested for heroin and marijuana possession in Tarrytown

TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) – Two New York residents were arrested last Tuesday in Tarrytown for heroin and marijuana possession, state police announced on Wednesday.

Desiree Shepard, 28, of Albany was stopped by a trooper for a traffic infraction. She was accompanied by a male, Oshapa Murray, 27, from Schenectady.

Both were arrested after the trooper discovered inside the vehicle over 1000 decks of heroin and a small amount of marijuana. The street value for this quantity of heroin is estimated around $10,000.

The two defendants face one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of intent to sell a controlled substance and another of unlawful possession of marijuana.
