April 17th, 2010 - 10:25 pm ICT by BNO NewsKABUL (BNO NEWS) — Two coalition service members were after an explosion in southern Afghanistan on Saturday, the NATO-led ISAF alliance said.
“Two ISAF service members died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan today,” ISAF said in a brief statement. “It is ISAF policy to defer identification procedures for casualties to the relevant national authorities.”
Saturday’s casualties bring the total number of coalition troops killed in Afghanistan so far this year to 150, according to a BNO News tally. Most of the casualties - 90 - were from the United States, and most of whom died in improvised explosive device (IED) attacks.
