Two California police officers among three shot in Citrus Heights

A Citrus Heights police official said the shooting happened around 2.30 p.m. local time in the 6200 block of Holly Springs Court near Greenback Lane. She said two police officers and a suspect were injured.
The police officers were involved with the suspect, who was said to be drunk, shortly before the shooting began. The condition of those injured was not immediately clear, but police said the officers were awake and talking.
