Des Moines, Iowa, Aug 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Iowa State Fair is ongoing and like each year, the event is all about food. This year several new foods have been introduced to the list.

One of the new additions this year is fried butter on a stick. Patrons who will be going to the fair will have the opportunity to try the dishes out. Fried butter on a stick is the dish that is generating all the interest at the fair.

The spokesperson of Iowa State Fair announced that, “Some people hear fried butter on a stick and they picture butter dipped in grease and then fried. But it is really prepared differently than people think.”

Fried butter on a stick was introduced in the fair by Fyfe Concessions who in the past introduced new dishes like Twinkie, Snickers and Oreos.

Owner Larry Fyfe said those who have tasted the fried butter on a stick love it. He said that, “I had some people tell me it tastes like a cinnamon roll, and others say it tastes like fresh baked bread that butter has melted into.”

The treat is being offered for $4 per piece. The fair opened today (11th of August) and it will wrap on the 21st of August.
