Tualatin Shooting Incident In Laboratory Causes 2 Deaths

tualatinTualatin, Nov.11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) With the increase in the number of workplace shooting incidents, people in the United States are worried about the security measures prevalent in workplaces. After Fort Hood and Orlando, one more workplace shooting incident was reported in Tualatin on Tuesday. It has been reported that a gunman started open firing from his rifle, after entering the Legacy MetroLab and shot dead his ex-wife. This fatal incident also injured two workers at the laboratory, who were the colleagues of the victim. The injured man [63 years] and woman [20 years] were immediately taken to the Legacy Emanuel Hospital for medical aid.

The police is presently investigating the matter. Kent Barker, the Police Chief of Tualatin, stated the murderer entered the laboratory before noon and fired several shots inside the laboratory. The shooter, who killed the lady was also found dead. It was apparently considered that the man had committed suicide. The woman killed in the shooting incident was identified as Teresa Beiser, who had filed divorce recently. Sources also stated that she was the mother of two children and her husband used to work for Lake Oswego’s Property Damage Appraisers.

Sherilyn Lombos, the City Manager of Tualatin, stated that she was busy in a staff meeting when the news of shooting came to her. She stated that it was the most violent tragedy in Tualatin since she took the charge as city manager. Ms. Lombos referred the day as “a sad day” and stated that support calls from different sources have come in after this incident. She said that calls also came from the office of US Senator, Ron Wyden.
