Kingston, Sep 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tropical Storm Nicole has been able to wreck quite a havoc in parts of Jamaica as it sparked flash floods which is killed at least two people. According to reports, apart from the two people who are known to have lost their lives, as many as 12 people have been missing since the flash floods. However, the United States weather forecasters have confirmed that Tropical Storm Nicole has now moved towards the northern direction into the Florida straits.
Not only was Tropical Storm Nicole cause deaths and rendered many missing, it has also been successful in resulting in widespread damage to properties as it toppled bridges and the power supplies in large parts of the island nation was also hugely disrupted. The intensity of the flash floods that was triggered by Tropical Storm Nicole can be comprehended from the fact that water was seen gushing across the streets which forced people to stay indoors. Apart from the loss to crops and livestock, many parts of Jamaica are still confronting mudslides, standing waters while reportedly 300,000 households are still without any powers supplies.
