storytd15noaaFlorida, Sep 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tropical Storm Matthew is gaining strength in the western Caribbean region as reported by the National Hurricane Center. As per the latest update the tropical storm Matthew had sustained a speed of 45 mile a hour. On Saturday the storm will move near the Northern Honduras coast as it is being assumed. In parts of Honduras and Nicaragua a storm warning has been declared. Matthew incidentally is the 13th noted storm of this hurricane season. It is expected to move westward in the next two days.

A storm is expected when the center of the tropical storm Matthew hits the land. This has been confirmed by the weather center. Rainfall is also expected when this happens. The amount of rainfall of course will vary from one area to another. However, tropical storms often change tracks at the last moment and therefore it is not possible to say with certainty which way Matthew will head to. The chances of the storm hitting Florida is potentially high say the weather experts. This can happen in the next week if the storm does not weaken.

Tropical Storm Matthew can become a Hurricane soon enough as it is being assumed. The West Miami-Dade County center said that a lot of variables are usually involved in tracking the path of a storm and that is applicable to this tropical storm as well. Early forecast also suggests that the storm might hit the Yucatan Peninsula. The models of the tropical storm also give an indication that it might reach the oil wells in the gulf of Mexico.
