HOUSTON, TEXAS (BNO NEWS) — Continental Airlines on Tuesday announced travel options for customers whose flight plans may be affected by Tropical Storm Hermine.

Storm conditions are expected to make air travel difficult in Texas, forcing some delays and cancellations of flights at airports in the region, including at its Houston hub at Bush Intercontinental Airport. Other Texas cities facing operational delays due to sever weather include Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Austin.

Continental Airlines said customers scheduled on flights to, from or through affected airports through September 8 are permitted a one-time date or time change to their itinerary without penalty providing rescheduled travel originates by September 15.

If a flight has been canceled, a refund in the original form of payment may be requested. The airline also offers customers to receive automated TripAlert messages regarding changes to their flight’s departure and arrival times. Customers may receive these messages via e-mail by providing a validaddress when making their initial flight reservation.

If no e-mail address is available, Continental Airlines will attempt to contact them by phone.
