Austin, Nov 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Texas inhabitant Trista Joy Lathern has been arrested for a faking breast cancer and for using the funds generated for her cancer treatment to get breast implants instead. Apparently, she sought funds for medical assistance while she supposedly struggled with ‘breast cancer’ that she never had. Instead, it’s being reported that she planned to use the money from helping individuals for enlarging her breasts.

She held fundraisers, sent out fliers and received donations from around 30 people who were either family, friends, co-workers and even strangers. All those who donated were told she had breast cancer and didn’t have any health insurance. She told them that she needed emergency live-saving surgery. Instead, the money was used in breast enlargement surgery in an apparent bid to save her crumbling marriage.

It all began when a small lump was found in her breast, which was removed and was diagnosed to be benign. However this got her thinking, as that time her marriage was falling apart. She thought that if she went and told her husband that she had cancer and then he would not leave her. And in a bid to make it all the more real, she went ahead with the donations drive, accumulated around $10,000 too and to spice up her married live, went ahead with the breasts enlargement surgery.
