Traffic Reporter Desiree Fontaine Arrested

dMilford, June 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Saturday the Connecticut state police arrested Desiree Fontaine, a well known traffic reporter for a news channel who also hosts a show for the channel named “Connecticut Style”.

The arrest was made by the police based on the complaint received from a shop owner who said that Desiree Fontaine had picked up merchandise items worth more than $100 from the department store but did not pay for the items at the counter. The complaint was made by the Sears Store in Milford from where Desiree Fontaine reportedly shop lifted items worth $104.98. The police declined to provide any further information on the matter.

As per the reports, Desiree Fontaine has been charged with a six degree larceny. The police said that she was released from the police custody after she promised to appear in the front of the court on July 7th. The police department also failed to say whether Desiree Fontaine has been able to arrange an attorney for her.

The director of the news channel where Desiree Fontaine works has maintained that it is against the policy of the company to comment on personal matters of its employee. The reporter has not made any public appearance after the incident and the media sources were unable on Sunday to find a home telephone number of the reporter.

However, as the news of the alleged shoplifting carried out by Desiree Fontaine spread, many people have voiced that they are shocked to learn about the incident. However it is not known why such a reputed reporter had gone on to act this way.
