Albuquerque, Apr 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Heads and torsos have been found in containers that was originally supposed to contain medical waste in a red colored biohazard tub. The gruesome discovery was made in the containers that were being taken to the Stericycle disposal facility, located in Kansas City, from the Bio Care Southwest, a facility situated on Albuquerque. According to reports, all of these bodies had been donated to the facility by the families of the deceased individuals, who were assured that they were being taken for scientific research, and that later on, the bodies would be returned to them.
Initially, only one such human head and torso had been discovered. However, after that, six more such cases were discovered. In each case, the heads and torsos had been severed with the help of some crude cutting instrument, possibly a chainsaw. This led to an investigation, and the owner of the company, Paul Montano, was arrested on charges of not sending back all the remains of the bodies that he had received. A total of three charges of fraud have been slapped on him. He is currently in the custody of the police, and a bond of $100,000 has been put on him.
A total of 12 tubs were found being shipped from Bio Care Southwest, all of them carrying the severed body parts. Three of the heads have been identified, one woman and two men. The tubs contained six heads, and the rest of the ‘waste’ was made up of various other parts of the body. The authorities of Stericycle have refused to comment on the matter.
