Today is ‘National Tell A Joke Day’

August 16 is set aside as the “National Tell A Joke Day.” Though is not readily clear or understood how the day came about, one thing is obvious about the day - there will be more laughter on the day than normal.
The day is observed by sharing jokes among folks. Everyone is encouraged on the day to tell a joke in order to participate in the day. There is no limit to the number of jokes one can tell or how many people the person can tell the jokes to. Until the day is over, revelers in the day are encouraged to place their troubles behind for the day and put on their laughter gear.
Laughing has been proven to be a good mechanism to improve health. It is therefore a welcomed news that people should have a day set aside for them to just laugh as they go through the day.
One thing that is for sure on the day however is that the more jokes one tells the more he/she is bound to enjoy the day. This might be the day where everyone might turn into a comedian.
