December 6th, 2010 - 8:08 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Dec 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Christmas season is fast approaching and many parents already have their hands full with choosing the right kind of toy for their children. However the criteria for identifying the right kind of toys should also include taking the safety of the child into consideration.
The number one reason why safety is an issue when choosing a toy for your child is that children are most vulnerable. Even the size of the toy also determines whether it is safe or not for the child. For instance when a toy is too small, the chances that a baby might swallow the toy is very huge because children tends to put things in their mouth. So what are the things to look out for when you are buying a toy for your children this festive season?
The first consideration is the material that was used to make the toy. The material should not contain any chemical that is harmful to consume because it is almost impossible to prevent the child from putting the toy in his/her mouth.
The next thing to look out for is the fluffiness of the material. If the material that is used comes off too easily, it can potentially irritate the child.
