Three U.S. soldiers die in southern Afghanistan
January 25th, 2010 - 1:01 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )KABUL (BNO NEWS) — Three U.S. soldiers died in two separate incidents in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, NATO said.
The NATO-led ISAF alliance said two of the soldier died in an improvised explosive device (IED) strike, while a third soldier was killed in a second IED strike.
The casualties bring the number of U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan this year to 25.
The identities of the soldiers will be announced by the U.S. Department of Defense not earlier than Monday.
