Sep 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Georgia woman Theresa Parker’s skeletal remains were found scattered along the Chattanooga River last Monday, the Georgia Police said. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation released a statement where it was confirmed that the body belonged to Theresa Parker. The Georgia woman has been reported missing since 2007 and many investigation agencies also could not find any news about her in three and half years.
Theresa Parker’s ex-husband Sam Parker was sentenced to life time imprisonment for the murder of his wife. However, last Monday a farmer discovered her body and called police after that. David Ashburn, the director of 911 where Theresa Parker used to work said that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is still investigating about the whole issue along with the other law enforcement agencies. However, he also added that he hopes the police will come up with the answers and “complete analysis” of the remains. The director also said that the investigators will definitely find out the cause of her death.
With the discovery of Theresa Parker’s body the attorney of Sam Parker are planning an appeal of his life sentence. A reputed media source reported that Georgia State Investigators will hold the bodily remains of Theresa Lewis until the cause of death is discovered. Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson said that it was a miracle that the farmer stumbled upon the remains of Theresa Parker’s body and it lead to the discovery. The farmer reportedly found the jawbones and other parts of Theresa Parker’s body along the Chattooga river. David Ashburn, the director of the 911 center said that Theresa Parker’s family and friends are notified about her body and expressed his condolence saying that nobody expected her to die.
