he-pingping-001 Mar 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Guinness Book of World Record’s World’s Shortest Man has died at the age of 21.

He Pingping passed away Sunday in Rome, Italy. He was just over 29 inches, or 2 feet 5 inches tall. Ironically, the place of his birth, in Inner Mongolia, was also home to the former World’s Tallest Man, Bao Xishun.

He was named the World’s Shortest Walking Man by Guinness after appearing on television in January 2007. In September of 2008, Pingping he went to New York to help launch the 2009 Edition of The Guinness Book of World Records. In regards to Mr. Pingping’s death, I am sad. However, the writer of this article needs to check the facts before publishing. Osteogenesis Imperfecta is not a form of primordial dwarfism. It’s possible that Mr. Pingping was diagnosed with both conditions, however the two are entirely unrelated.
