bethany2Vancouver, Sep 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It came as a shock to the world when Vancouver police revealed a report which said that the acid attack woman, Bethany Storro splashed acid at herself. The self-inflicted acid attack has raised many questions, though the family of the women apologized by releasing a statement to the media. Bethany Storro previously reported that she was attacked by a stranger, who threw acid at her. However, the police later said that they suspected her after the pattern of the acid on her skin, which seemed then the acid was rubbed at her face than being thrown.

Marla Schuman, an officer from the Vancouver Police Department said that from the very beginning her story had lot of loop holes and as the police developed more informations, it was evident that the acid attack was “probably” a self inflicted act. However, when the police interrogated Bethany Storro after getting a search warrant on Thursday she confessed the truth. However, the police still does not know why she did this to herself. A reputed media source reported that Bethany Storro could be charged with filing false report and possibly fraud if she is found guilty of spending any money that people gave her for help.

On the other hand Bethany Storro’s parents released a statement where it was maintained that they are “deeply sorry” for the incident involving their daughter. They said that they did not doubt their intentions and stood by her in her tough times like any other “good parent”. In their statement they also maintained that they do not know why their daughter took such a drastic step. Bethany Storro’s parents also promised that they will return all the money donated to their daughter to the people.
