parade1Oct. 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This will certainly look to be a major set back for all those enthusiasts who were dying to be a part of Emmaus Halloween Parade 2009. According to what has emerged from the latest developments on the front, it seems that the parade has been called off from its scheduled date of occurrence.

Originally it was scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 17. Instead, it will now be taking place on Monday, Oct. 19. The fun filled event has been rescheduled due to the the cause of prevalent bad weather that had been threatening since quite sometime. If the weather did not, this news certainly proved to be a big damper for quite a lot of people who were looking forward to the event.

As the present event schedule now reads, the parade is going to be kicked off from 7:30 p.m. onwards on Monday. The Halloween 5k run is slated to begin at 7 p.m. on the same day, just prior to the parade event. According to the rules of the Emmaus Parade, it is required for all participants to register themselves before the specified day, the forms for which had been made available on the websites as well as in the Town Hall.

It is usually the tradition for the Emmaus Halloween Parade and the Halloween 5k race to be held on the specified Saturday. The back up plan [of following it up on the next coming Monday] is however kept in handy always, because of the bad weather conditions in the region. This time around it surely seems that the plan-B came in to be useful.
