sealtxIt comes as a shock that Todd Willingham, the prime accused, in the December 23rd 1991 killings of his 1 year old twins Karmon and Kameron, and 2 year old Amber at their Corsicana residence, could have been misjudged after all. Todd was convicted earlier and later sentenced to death in 2004, for having contrived the mishap (fire) that caused the death of his three children.

According to the documents submitted to The Texas Forensic Science Commission, which released on Tuesday, Craig Byler revealed that the standards adhered to in the fire investigation on the Cameron Todd Willingham were certainly inappropriate, and misleading.

Byler said that the investigators had misconceptions about fire science, and were incognizant of the methodologies, and of “the process of elimination”. To top it all even a psychologist with a post graduate degree in his subject had proved to the court that Todd was nothing less than a malicious sociopath, irrespective of his own credentials of being limited to family counseling and petty follow ups of the sorts.

Willingham’s cousin Patricia Cox of Ardmore, Okla. told sources skeptically, “I would definitely like the state of Texas to take responsibility and admit in fact they wrongfully executed Todd Willingham. Is that going to happen? Probably not. I’m not optimistic.”

Eric Ferrero, a spokesman of Innocence Project, a New York based organization, who exonerates alleged people said clearly that as per the criticism and expertise of experts on the case “there was no reason to call it arson.”

All Americans will be repulsed and outraged at the sordid miscarriage of laws, and the irony of Texas Governance that is so pertinent about its vigilance.
