Edinburg, July 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man from the south of Texas has been convicted and found guilty of killing the three children of his wife in 2003.

John Allen Rubio was sentenced to death by a grand jury for his crimes against the toddlers all below 4 years. He attacked the kids with a knife and ultimately mutilating their bodies in their apartment in Brownsville.

Judge Noe Gonzalez of the Hidalgo County District Court gave the accused the opportunity to make any statement before his sentence and Rubio apologized for his actions. “I don’t know what happened, but I know what this jury found. I have never seen a crime like this,” according to Hidalgo County District Judge Noe Gonzalez.

This is the second time Rubio has been convicted and sentenced to death after the first trial in 2003. He made an appeal which found him not culpable of the crimes as a result of inconsistent statements made by the dead kids’ mother Angela Camacho, who has already been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for her actions that helped lead to the death of the children.

Rubio’s troubled childhood was cited for making him mentally troubled as an adult. According to Police he didn’t resist arrest after police got to the scene of the murder.
