Texas couple charged with wire fraud in Mississippi
March 13th, 2010 - 12:10 am ICT by BNO NewsJACKSON, MISSISSIPPI (BNO NEWS) – A Texas couple was arrested on charges of wire fraud, Attorney General Jim Hood said Friday.
John and Monica Clune, age 50 and 44, respectively, allegedly took money from a North Mississippi couple, promising to advocate with creditors on the victim’s behalf, but the Clune’s allegedly kept approximately $13,000.
The couple, from Farmer’s Branch, Texas, was working under the business name “A Different Debt Company”, and kept the money with no intent to assist their supposed clients with managing their debt.
If convicted of wire fraud, each of the Clune’s face up to 25 years of imprisonment.
