Terrorist Attack Goes Wrong On Christmas Day

Dec. 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Christmas day proved to be lucky for the victims of a terrorist attack. A Northwest Airlines flight, headed for Detroit from Amsterdam was under the seize of a terrorist attack. Fortunately, there had been no deaths, but it is being speculated that at least two people have been injured. The total number of passengers on board the Flight 253 was 278. A passenger sitting in seat 16G of the flight, Syed Jafri, commented later that at the time that the flight was about to land in Detroit, he smelled smoke and there was an explosion. The next moment, the young man who was siting behind him jumped on him.
A man said to have links to the attack has been arrested. He is a Nigerian man, identified as Abdul Mudallad. He has confessed that he was the one to carry out the attack. However, his confession has led to some new alarms about the Al Qaeda terrorist attacks. He has confessed that he was asked to carry out the by the Afghanistan militant group.
The United States government has raised the terrorist alarm level following this attack. On the other hand, Victor Begg, a leader of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Michigan, commented that he was unhappy about all these terrorist attacks that threatened the society. He further commented that he feels that those people should be stopped as they attempt to achieve a political goal in the garb of religion, and in turn manages to alienate a whole community needlessly. He feels that all communities should work hand in hand to repel those malign forces.
