More questions are being asked about suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who was arrested on Christmas day in Detroit for trying to blow up a plane. When a passenger seen a spark and smelled smoke, without hesitation jumped on the man and prevented what is considered now a man-made device containing a powder substance that was put together in flight.
A phone call from the father of the suspect was made in October to warn the American Embassy that his son could be linked to terrorist. His son was to be investigated fully when he reapplied for a visa. He was place on a list of more than 500,000 others with possible known terrorist acts, but he was not placed on the no-fly list.
Security Officials along with members of Congress are trying to figure our where the missing link in airline security went wrong. U.S. President Obama has ordered a f ull review on the security issues of all aviation security and wants all detection equipment in place and in use at all airport checkpoints. American security aviation officials at airport check points are now mandated to physically pat-down any passengers heading to the U.S.
With burn marks on Mr. Abdulmutallab legs he was taken to the University of Michigan hospital for treatment, on Sunday he was moved to a federal prison in Milan, Michigan.
